Really, I’m a bit of a nerd who devours fiction, pretty much anything creative, musical harmony, time with my best friend/husband, and the occasional chunk of dark chocolate (not in that order).
Our family’s passionate about relieving injustice and poverty and making world-changing disciples. Following five years in Uganda, we labor toward that end with Engineering Ministries International. EMI exists to transform lives by providing hope to poorest of the poor, designing facilities that serve the poor in developing countries.
In Uganda, I taught weekly at a local refugee center, which I utterly adored. But a lot of our family’s work simply arises from simply living intentionally here in our community.
Right now, I’m a bit of a “goer” who’s learning to stay; to live poured-out wherever He wants. Hopefully that means you find a little more of him and his good ways here.

Khathey Simmons - 10 years ago
Hi There,
My name is Khathey Simmons and I am the Managing Director of Westcan Personnel – a premium nanny, au pair and caregiver agency based in Canada. As part of my role, I like to create helpful and informative content about childcare and parenting. As such, I have just finished a new infographic: https://www.westcanpersonnel.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/free-range-vs-helicopter-parenting.jpg , called “Free Range vs Helicopter Parenting” which I think your readers might enjoy.
For those raising children a key question is how do you strike the right balance between the free-range and helicopter approach? In this infographic, I compare the two parenting styles by looking at their underlying philosophies as well as their various pros and cons, so parents and caregivers can make a choice that’s right for them.
If you decide to publish my infographic I would greatly appreciate it, however I would just ask you to kindly credit me with the URL: https://www.westcanpersonnel.com/child-care/ .
I am also more than happy to supply you with a unique introduction to accompany the infographic should you wish.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any feedback or questions.
If I knew what to do or say, I would have surely said it years ago. If I had some perspective of what makes me seem so horrible I would surely love to know so that I could repent. If I could examine myself harder and see what I don’t understand-I would have years ago. If writing my heart out had any value, I would be empowered. If I had a chance to find redemption-I would cut my right arm off to gain it, because deep down it’s not about people liking me, but me not seeing or me not getting it and me being embroiled in so much hard in my life that I was so freaked out of my brains that I was unable to see or function. I have not gone into detail but the hard felt like enough to snuff me out. I never imagined trying to manage so much emotionally or mentally not just for me but my kids too. How does a blind person apologize for what they could not see? Who was around when the screaming and holes in the walls came about? Who was there when the neighbor cussed out my family and said he was tired of hearing the screaming and fighting? Who knows such fear and shame? There is so much that was happening-how could I know? How could I see or function normally? How? Would it help if I wrote every hard part? Would it help everyone to see how my life was? Am I strong? I don’t think so-I say I am because I have to survive. I have to find a way to overcome. If any of you saw me or talked to me you might never have believed in any thing I said or did that was seen as bad. I truly believe that if a person screams because they are on fire-no one questions the pain or agony. But for me? I have to be perfect no matter how hard life is on me and if I could? I would in a heartbeat! But I think that as the years went on I made more and more mistakes and those mistakes have sunk my boat and I am not even really sure what they really are because I was just surviving and there was so much. I just kept apologizing. Being unforgiven for what I feel but am unsure of has been one of the hardest things I have felt. To feel this weight without a way out from under it has left me limping pretty badly-and all I can do is pray and say sorry because I truly am..
Blessings to you and your family. I’m so sorry for everything.

Teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs out there, even in challenging times! And given everything that has gone on recently, we need as many passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic teachers as we can get!
I was hoping to write an article for those who feel they’re being called to become a teacher. I’ll offer advice based on my decades of teaching, everything from what level of education is needed to how to find their first job to how to decide what grade or subject to teach and more.
Will you please let me know if you’re interested in sharing my article as a guest post on your website?
Thank you!

Whether you’re a parent seeking to help a child who’s struggling in a certain subject or you simply want to expand your child’s knowledge as much as possible, there are many great tactics and activities for learning outside the classroom.
Can I share some of them with your readers in an article for your website?
Have a great day!

I’m passionate about helping people with disabilities most especially those who enjoy looking at websites and learning from the pages within.
I recently encountered a site that wasn’t very friendly to those with hearing problems. It made me think about how many other business owners are possibly unaware of how crucial it is to make sure that individuals with hearing impairments fully appreciate all of the content on their websites.
Would you be interested in a guest article for your website on this topic? It would be a helpful piece for website owners or content creators who would like their pages to be user-friendly and accessible to people with disabilities.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness and look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
